Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 October 2026
Albumer Secure is made by DOR Industries, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and who it is shared with. Questions: support@albumer-secure.com.
Your photos are encrypted before they leave your phone
Photos and videos you add are encrypted on your device with keys that only your PIN unlocks. We store the encrypted files and cannot see what they show. Small encrypted previews are stored beside them in the same way. If you use "Forgot your PIN?", we hold a separately encrypted recovery copy of your key that is released only to your phone after you prove you own your account email.
Some information is not encrypted, because the app needs it to work: album and folder names, captions, comments, likes, who is a member of which album, and when photos were added.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, name, and optionally your phone number, profile photo and username.
- Encrypted content: your photos and videos, stored encrypted as described above.
- Contacts, if you allow it: names, phone numbers and email addresses from your address book, used to find people you know on Albumer Secure and to send the invitations you choose to send.
- Purchases: whether you have a subscription, from Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
- Device and usage data: a push notification token, your device type and operating system, and basic diagnostics needed to keep the app working.
- Advertising data: our ad partner collects a device advertising identifier and related data to show ads. See Ads below.
Kept only on your phone
Your PIN, your lock settings, and break-in photos (the front-camera photo taken after repeated wrong PINs) stay on your device and are never uploaded. If you turn on Face ID or fingerprint unlock, your key is held by your phone's secure hardware.
How we use it
To run your account, store and sync your albums, deliver invitations and notifications you ask for, process subscriptions, keep the service secure, prevent abuse and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information and we never use your photos to train artificial intelligence.
Ads
Free accounts see ads served by Google AdMob and its partners. On iPhone we ask your permission before using your advertising identifier for tracking; in the European Economic Area and the UK we ask for consent first. You can limit ad tracking in your phone's settings at any time.
Who we share it with
- Supabase, which hosts our database and stores the encrypted files.
- Google AdMob and its ad partners, for ads.
- Apple, Google and RevenueCat, for purchases and subscriptions.
- Expo, Apple and Google, to deliver push notifications.
- Our email and text message providers, to send sign-in codes and the invitations you choose to send.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, including reports of child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
The people you share an album with can see that album, its members, and the photos in it.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it or delete your account. Deleting your account removes your account, albums, encrypted files and keys. See how to delete your account.
Your rights
You can see and change your details in the app, export your photos to your phone, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live you may have further rights to access, correct or delete your data; email us and we will help.
Adults only
Albumer Secure is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has an account, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
Besides encryption, the app locks itself when you leave it, blocks screenshots and screen recording, and hides its contents in the app switcher. No system is perfectly secure, so please choose a PIN that others cannot guess.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
